All the telepathy discussion has got me to thinking Quiet! I know what you're thinking; just keep it to yourself about how the Shadows were almost paranoid about telepaths, yet the Drakh seemed to be both telepathic and telekenetic, too. The Shadows didn't appear to have a problem with them. Maybe the Drakh were an earlier Vorlon experiment that went bust?</p></font>

Prof, JMS enjoys irritating people with the way he spins his stories. Just accept that you're another victim. No one wanted Garibaldi to be the one responsible for Sheridans meandering into the clutches of Clarke's supporters. So, that's exactly how JMS writes it...it tweaks his audience. Eventually, Garibaldi gets his redemption, it's just that it takes awhile.

Kevin Vacit (Bester's Grandpa) said that one of the twin Shilako (Vorlons, I assume) was killed by their enemies (Gotta be the Shadows) because they figured out what they were up to manipulating Earth.

Is that what honked off the Vorlons so bad when the Shadows killed Kosh? Lyta said after he was killed that one hadn't died in a very long time. So my assumption is that the last one that died was also killed by the Shadows.

Something I can't get a grasp on. Of the original twin Shilako one died and the other became part of the sky and gave birth (Or some other reference) to another set of twins and from that set of twins came the gift of Telepathy. How does the Offspring translate?

Who was it who said "It is stated in the first Legion of Fire book that the person who is to wear a keeper has to voluntarily accept it"?

Just wondering, because in the third book (I think) was when David Sheridan got his keeper. He was definately not feeling voluntary - he screamed and tried to get away from it, smashing up his room in the process.
Could just be yet another inconsistancy.

As to the Captain Jack / Regent inconsistency - Jack's keeper was shot from him, so only it's main body was removed, and the tendrils would have still been within him - The Regent's keeper left voluntarily, removing it's tendrils in the process.

So, how about a teep with a keeper? I guess a powerful teep could block the keeper's communication with its Drakh "parent. The effect of the keeper on it's host however is based on its ability to inflict physical pain. A teep would have no special resistance to this. A powerful teep could, I guess, attempt to control the keeper telephically. Lyta should be able to anyway http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

"Seeing as how we have plenty of Sci-Fi fans, and in paticular, B5, I got a laugh out of this from Cinescape and thought you would too. Here is what was posted:

Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski is taking to task recent comments made about the future of B5 by series star Bruce Boxleitner.

Yesterday, Eon Magazine quoted the actor as giving his opinion that the future of the franchise is not controlled by JMS, saying, "No, it's not even in his hands. He doesn't even own it. Its not his property anymore - [the show] was taken away from him a year before we ended."

Checking in with the site, JMS responded to this comment as follows:

"Bruce should talk about what Bruce knows, which is acting. He is not privy to my deals and never has been. WB could not take the show away from me in ownership because I never OWNED B5 to begin with. NO producer of a TV show owns the show. (I'm omitting people like Aaron Spelling because he is able to finance the shows and thus partly owns them.) The studios that provide the deficit financing own the shows. Fox, not Chris Carter, owns X-FILES. Paramount owns STAR TREK lock, stock and nacelles, in all of its incarnations. This is the case with virtually EVERY TV series ever made. WB owned B5, and they owned CRUSADE. They could not take from me something I never had.

Ian that was me. You are right, initially David is not willing to join with the Keeper but then the Keeper begins to talk about how David cannot do anything because of his parents being over protective and David begins to listen, and agree. Go back and re-read the entire section. The Keeper knew what David wanted to do, leave Minbar and be given more freedom, and it played up on that. When it does, David stops fighting it.

Wizz, I have no problem with what was done to Garibaldi. He could have damaged Garibaldi by letting ISN leak that Garibaldi was the one who provided the info needed to capture Sheridan's Dad. That outs Garibaldi as a traitor and leads to the same problems that Garibaldi faces now.

As much as I think Sheridan is the king of Chowderheads, I cannot really believe that he would leave the entire war effort to save his father. Sacrifice the freedom of all people on Earth for one man? That is beyond a stretch. I would say this even if Garibaldi was 100% trust worthy and wasn't trying to set Sheridan up.

The person responsible for running a war cannot afford to place the life of one person, even if it is his Dad, in front of the cause he is fighting for. This action has never made sense.

Anyone want to bet that Garibaldi was very nervous about making the trek back to the resistance with Sheridan near by and armed? (grins)

I wish we could have seen the Garibaldi and Sheridan chat that occurs after this episode. I really do.

Prof, I was just offering a possible scenario based on what you said,
"ARRRGGHHHH I cannot get past the fact that there was a better way to get Sheridan captured and to have Garibaldi honk off the Alliance then what was used."
Sure there was a better way. You and I'm sure a bunch of others know it, too (myself included). JMS knows what you're thinking! However, being a good chowderhead, he blindly heads forth to Mars with no sembalence of a disguise because he is right and the rest of the universe is wrong. I'm amazed he got as far as he did. Then again, maybe if you're ignorant of danger, you won't get hurt.</p>
